Activities / Resume

I am a post-doctoral researcher specialized in microbial ecology, with a strong background in microbiology and entomology.

I obtained a Ph.D. in host/parasite interactions in 2012 for my work on the role of Wolbachia bacterium on dengue and chikungunya transmission by Aedes albopictus mosquito. I trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Institut Pasteur of Paris in Louis Lambrechts’ group to study the genetic basis of mosquito-dengue virus interaction. In 2017, I obtained a two-years Labex Ecofect funding along with Natacha Kremer (LBBE, Lyon) and François Leulier (IGFL, Lyon) to explore the influence of polymicrobial associations on the outcome of viral infections in Drosophila. Since March 2019, I am leading the experimental aspect of the mosquito task in Micro-Be-Have. My project aims to understand how microorganisms like arboviruses and bacteria, alone or interaction can manipulate host behavior in the tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus. To this end, I develop several assays to measure the behavior of mosquitoes with a controlled microbiota.
